Same story lately, having a lot of trouble burying chances. Boeser had a boatload of prime opportunities and he couldn't finish. Pettersson with a clear break in OT which you'd think is a guaranteed goal but even he can't do it lol.

Gudbranson continues to be a liability, even Tanev looks bad beside him (although Tanev in a vacuum was not good, extremely rare for him to get beat so cleanly like he did on the winner).

Stecher and Hutton look great so far filling in as the top pair.

Leivo and Markstrom were easily the best players yesterday. Leivo finally got rewarded for his effort after being unlucky and going through a slump coming back from an injury.

Petey probably pissed off that he didn't deke the goalie when Markstrom fed that nice breakaway in OT.

Gudbranson needs to go or be exposed for the expansion draft, he's clearly holding back his pairing partner (Hutton, tanev, etc.) whenever they play with someone else they become better lol.

To be fair I would say there was a bit of puck luck on that play.

Yes he got beat, but the puck ended up in the perfect spot for Toews to scoop it up.

He did not have the control to place it so accurately, it was more of a slam it through and try to jam it in type play vs a silky deke that went off without a hitch.

That being said he still got beat, just not as cleanly as it looked.

With Edler out the parings are jumbled up and it is showing.

Really wanted Petey to get the OT winner after Markstrom made that nice chip pass. Have to say he has been playing quite well lately, despite not getting the wins.

Overall I thought the Canucks brought good energy and had the scoring chances, just could not bury enough of them, as others have said.

One thing I hate to see is retaliation penalties. A lack of discipline is an ugly sight. The penalty Sutter took was unnecessary and it changed the course of the game. I hope he gets an earful for that selfish play. Have to stay composed out there even if you feel you are wronged.

feels bad that I thought trading for Guds was awful from the getgo, and I've been proven right. just doesn't think or skate at an NHL level. he's basically only useful when the team is already getting heavily outshot or on the PK, whick I think is what fools coaches/GMs into believing he has a positive impact - they see him clearing the crease and blocking shots, but they disregard the fact his kind of play is what creates these disadvantageous situations in the first place.

He's only useful when utilized properly, he needs players like Brian Campbell which Lolnucks don't have. Although he's still no where close to how he was back when he was doing well with Campbell. He's pretty much a 4th liner goon at this point, except 4th liner goons play limited minutes and don't cost as much goals as guds. Sure he can win fights, but it's the Lolnucks & they rarely back each other up right away after dirty playz anyway

also teams are interested in virtanen apparently, i hope lolnucks don't trade him unless it's an insane offer.
He's developing well, and should be GG around mid 20's as expected

it's hard to utilize someone properly when there are few situations where he's useful. he's like Andrew Alberts except our management thinks he's a dormant Willie Mitchell instead of a 7th defenseman.

what an entertaining game so far,
man lolnucks really need edler back.

pou-beiga pairing is like the worst pairing ever
can't wait til pouliot is gone next season.
fk i'd take hughes costing goal or 2 for 10+ of his elite plays than watch pouliot have a good game.

fk pls just give him the calder

Pouliot is gone in a matter of weeks. Hughes is coming after his season ends and isn't looking back :P
