It was one of the post game interview around December when Markstrom started his godlike streak. He was asked about his recent performance, and he's like Petey gave me a tip on how to anticipate and watch the puck or something

basically need Markstrom playing at a Vezina level just to be competitive. christ. schecter and hutton clearly deteriorated as they were handed top minutes, but that's because biega and pouliot were straight up playing at an AHL level and had to be sheltered. it's a bad night when Guds isn't the worst or second worse blue liner.

honestly even the AHL seems even too high for Pouliot.
Pro players should not have like 90%+ turnover rate, floating rate, useless rate etc.
even tho the pairing was sheltered and had the least amount of minutes, holy shit it felt like they had 30+min game from all those constant mistakes.

Markstrom is basically playing at Vezina level since Dec, he stole so many games on a team that was expected to be bottom 5 this season.
Today's game is another example, Calgary woulda won by miles but Markstrom constantly robbed godreau and flames np
his record is insane, yet they gave 2nd star to fkin lehner last month when markstrom had more insane numbers and a much longer streak
