Hall nearly doubled the point total of the second highest on his team in fewer games played (76 vs 81), as well as almost doubling the P/GP of the second highest on his team. That’s a catch-22 imo, the hall we see today is a result of a trade that forced him into a nessecary attitude adjustment.

This is a better explanation of what I was trying to say earlier. Look at the point gap. NJ has no hope in hell of even being remotely close to a playoff spot without Hall. All of those other high scorers have far more help.

To me there has to be value in what the player did. I.E carrying the team to the playoffs. Mcdavid is the most talented but there is nothing to show for it. I think it should go to someone who made a difference. The Oilers should be ashamed for letting a season like Mcdavids go to waste.

The point gap btwn McD/Dras is 37pts. Hall's point gap with Nico is 41pts. McD/Drais have more pts combined than Hall/Nico's, that also shows how sad edmonton is by letting in THAT MANY more goals for 0pts for the loss and how much more competitive west teams are.
McD isn't making the playoffs only because his team is too shit, not because he's not valuable enough for his team. Despite leading the NHL in scoring, EDM is still 20th in goals, and 28th in GAA, next to last in PP/PK. Very hard to carry anybody into playoffs with that kind of team. <-- that team stat is amazing for someone leading the NHL in scoring lmao. If Hall and mcD traded places, it'd be the same situation lol. NJ makes playoffs probably higher standings rather than placing 8th into playoffs, and EDM doesn't and as per usual wins 1oa with hall luck and placing further worse down in ranks.

What both players are doing are amazing for their respective teams, i give hall the slight edge over mcD though. However, i disagree with ppl saying Hall is running away with it. The gap btwn Hall and McK for the hart is much more closer, and i believe McK is the MVP between the two. Despite the Duchene drama earlier in season, MCK still carried the pure shit 40pt team and turned it into a competitive team, this is without getting lucky with 1oa pick and trading away 1 of their stars Duchene. McK's a clutch fucker, showing Sakic he made the right call and believed in him. He also makes others around him play better with him, reviving landy's career, rantanen getting recognition, and turning his line into 1 of the top line in the league. They're also winning against STL 2-0 atm, and if colorado wins, they make the playoffs. So literally hall/mck will have similar situation and stats, only difference is that mcK done more for the team than hall did by making his team better without lottery and trading away duchene, and turning a much more shittier team into a playoff team in 1 season. That's my definition of MVP, but everyone's entitled to their own opinion ofc

How many points has mcdoodle gotten since oilers were already eliminated?

52 Points in last 34 games was a stat shown on HNiC, not sure when they were actually eliminated.
