the 2nd goal wasnt his fault he won the battle there was nobody to pass to so he held it got 2v1 lost it and flyers had nobody covered they had an extra man cause risto was 1v2 and they still had wide open players
how is that his fault? nobody to pass too isnt his fault getting out numbered and the wings have open players isnt his fault wheres the rest of the team? they arent doing their part you cant blame risto there imo

the first goal was kinda his fault he bumped hart and he couldnt get across it happens but that 2nd goal was 100% team collapse you cat blame 1 player when the 4 other ones arent doing the right shit

even JJ made it sound like it was ristos fault and therrien kinda said like thats not him he nobody to pass to there you cant put that on him

Specific to Jones, if the veteran goalie had been dealt for a draft picl, the Flyers would have needed to replace him with a different backup for Carter Hart for the rest of the season.

Fletcher said that Felix Sandström is needed in Lehigh Valley as the Phantoms push for a playoff spot in the Atlantic Division. Additionally, Sandström missed time with injuries earlier this season although he's currently healthy. Phantoms rookie goalie Samuel Ersson has missed most of the season due a recurring lower-body injury. Kirill Ustimenko, who missed the entire 2020-21 season due to hip surgery, only has 13 games of AHL experience and has primarily played in the ECHL so far in his career.

you think he comes back? seems he didnt want to go but that might make him not want to come back out of spite or come back cause he wants too

Sounds like there have been conversations between Yandle and Flyers about how to handle final 15 games of season. There are some younger players who need to play and veterans hoping to get contracts for next year. Yandle streak is at 989 games.

Yeo said he hasn't made a final decision yet if Yandle is out or in tomorrow. Has been under the weather and Flyers have a few others who are banged up. Decision will be made tomorrow.

excted to see what hes got sounds like hes got potential and hes a right shot defenseman

kinda feel like sitting yandle would be a dick move with the streak but it probably shoulda got broken after his 1st game this season flyers did him a favor letting him beat the streak imo
but with 15 games left i almost feel like just let him play fuck it he already cost us the season with like 50 GA from yandle giveaways

Yandle has been awful this year. If not for his streak he might have been benched and maybe worse(for his sake, not ours lol)

The reactions to this move have been laughable.

i didnt see the game but they did bench him lol im surprised they didnt just sit seeler for him or something

i saw on twitter he apparently told the flyers he would be fine to break the streak at the deadline to be traded
but i mean they let him play and set the record and probably did shop him at the deadline so cant complain
kessel is only like 30 games back of the record too but maybe yandle is retiring and can retire without kessel overtaking him this season and hes good with that or maybe not

watched the cbj game you can clearly tell last few yeo has been telling the defense to make more offensive plays sanheim and provy both going in on offense a lot more
attard... i dont think the guys ready lol hes made a couple of pretty bad defensive plays maybe by the end of the season he can adjust and get better at reading the play
oh and yandle... that was the hardest ive seen him play in a long time breaking the streak might be a good thing now he can play a bit tougher mins and not try to just make it through the game without getting hurt
he looked like he actually gave a shit though he was skating played like some of of his best defense all season attempted some blocks totally different yandle after siitting him lol

but yeah nothing against attard just think he needs seasoning in the ahl and we coulda claimed phil myers for a 3rd pair guy that woulda likely been better then attard so im not the biggest fan on giving him games tbh

This Yandle thing has to be one of the dumbest situations I've ever seen in hockey.

He's not owed anything, games & ice-time ought to be earned. Guy was supposed to be scratched years ago 'cause he's soft doo-doo and so many people are acting like it's the ultimate disrespect to scratch him.

The streak only means something if the player is actually good enough to play in those games. It's a farce otherwise.
