I did not find this out until later sadly. There was entire seasons I was lvl 80 something lol.


Later on it was a pain but I levelled until 93 before I did the majority of my gambling.

Certain mods you need to be a higher level to increase your odds. One of the biggest iirc was getting 93+ so you have a better chance to get a 20% FCR circlet instead of a 10% one.

I think some mods were impacted until level 95 but those mods were not as important or scaled a lot less so I never bothered. There is so many little details like that which make D2 great.


/e Had I known this earlier a lot of +2 skill amulets that were +1 skill amulets and circlets that were 10% fcr instead of 20% fcr would have turned a pretty good find into an amazing one.

yeah i think its 92 cause iirc its 5 lvls below you is what you can gamble
and that ilvl 87 which is hell meph ilvl so u can gamble a lot of uniques and probably the better rares like you said
if you get 99 thats ilvl 94 which i think hell pindle has that ilvl? and he can drop anything in the game i believe so you could likely gamble anything in the game but you gotta be 99
its kind of a cool mechanic but at the same time if your lvl 70-90 and want to gamble it sucks that you are at a disadvantage

Will any of you guys be playing the new Diablo 2 Ladder reset on Friday? I may create a softcore ladder Bowazon on US East for fun and nostalgia. Maybe I'll equip her with a Faith and Fort, torch and anni, much later in the ladder season when the prices drastically drop and I can find great bargain opportunities. It depends how much time I want to invest. I still play Heroes of the Storm and Ladder Slasher daily. And Diablo II: Resurrected will be out before you know it. I'm still planning to play that on the Nintendo Switch at first. Likely using the cross-progression option to level up on the PC version eventually.

I'm gonna roll a hardcore necromancer summoner on reset today. Most likely play only one hero this reset, just for fun.
