Vancouver was like -10 or something, which is rare lol. I think it's usually - 2 if "cold" had our 2nd snow wave. 30cm of snow and ofc city gets rekt as usual

i think the city needs to mandate winter tires, even if it doesn't snow it helps in the cold

lots of bad drivers

You have some steep streets there that are death traps when it ices over even a little. Don’t they usually close those when it snows?

I totally think it's an experience issue.
I mean, no need for winter tires. All season or all weather work just fine.
Bc mountains is a different story.

Why would icbc do that? They wanna raise premiums on both or all parties for the dough.

That's why you'd think there would be some common sense for drivers to have winter tires as a bare minimum.. But nope. Extremely questionable drivers without weather problems but even more now with snow. Like today, I literally saw someone turning left onto an oncoming traffic... With kids in the backseat..
Nvm just drivers, even pedestrians are questionable. They j walk or pop out when a car turns right and expects them to slam their brakes and stop or some shit. It's beyond retarded here

My sister was supposed to be back from Europe on the 20th but she's stuck in Toronto because of YVR cancellations. They rescheduled her flight to the 24th. And the airline refuses to pay for the hotel because they claim the closure was due to "weather" - as if it never snowed in Vancouver.

Traffic has been a complete clusterfuck too. Lots of stalled cars and accidents.

It blows my mind that snowpocalypse happens at least once in most years yet people still pretend it never happens. Doesn't seem like anything here is made to work if it snows more than a few inches.
