I read Kripp was the first to beat the game on Hardcore Inferno, and he did it one day before they nerfed Inferno.
I just can't remember if Inferno was stupidly hard where it deserved a nerf or if people were just trying to push it before they had good enough items for it and then complained it was too hard.
Someone can educate me.
pre nerf inferno was pretty damn hard you needed insane gear to be able to clear outside of act 1 inferno
a lot of people used to run act 3 to a chest spot die afk and let the "AI tyrael" kill the mobs for you because the npc did more damage then most people
put it this way so many people complained inferno was too hard they added paragon lvls as a panic fix to give us a power boost for killing it until the nerf

Yup that’s what it was
It was the time where those bugs in a2 would one shot you lmao
those and mortar mobs with any roots etc etc
d3 at launch was a shit show it was super rushed there was zero itemization so it was hard to get good gear the scaling was WAY off and the game was just boring as fuck to play through with no end game
its come a long way but the launch game was total garbage
