That was obviously in the works well before D3 actually came out, as you can tell by the graphics.

From what I've read, D3 essentially got restarted twice: once from scratch once North was no more and then apparently large systems/aspects of D3 were totally scrapped and what we got was a rushed version of whatever they came up with last (and it shows). Remember from the pre-release BlizzCons that there was actually a PVP arena lol? Didn't get anything like that in the end. If Activision wasn't involved the game wouldn't have come out but alas, the suits wanted their money and they wanted it ASAP.

If Blizzard hasn't learned their lesson from the WC3 thing when it comes to the D2 remaster, and they haven't learned their lesson from D3 when it comes to D4, it's probably game over for them when it comes to their hardcore loyal fan base.

Shame we never got the real diablo 3 =( from creators of d1 and d2.

Hopefully the remastered version of d2 at least uses those design. Though I'm not sure if they're allowed to

Honestly it's game over already for diablo franchise, they made it clear money grab is more important than anything else. That mobile game they ripped off from a Chinese game and calling it diablo alrdy sealed the deal imo

im still signed up for early access beta and its never even reached that

i figure they are delaying it til after d4 release thinking we gave them d4 they cant be pissed and maybe play the mobile game


also those screen shots are cool they look similar to the others ones that were leaked before

Well. afaik old blizz north went and made torchlight which is a cartoony lil shitshow aswelll. That’s the direction games we’re going at the time.

Face it guys D2 had its time. Now we move on, and don't give Blizzard money for lazily recycling old games to get nostalgia bucks from us.

They lost all of their trust from older gamers. I don't want to agree with you..... I just cant see it any either way as well.

With the World of Warcraft, Warcraft RTS, Starcraft and Diablo series being such high quality during the 90's/2000's I would blindly buy a lot of their products based off of the fact my expectations were always met and often exceeded with those flagship products.

It has been almost a decade since they made anything good.

They lost the old school real gamer mentality and the staff that had that kind of philosophy. Now you have the larger, corporate mentality that is going to spend all time/resources into maximizing profit for their products. Quality is no longer a top concern.

The only reason recent products have sold so well is due to blind loyalty that was built up from 20 years of making great names. Now the luster left behind from the old guard has been stripped away and it has become obvious Blizzard/Activision is completely out of touch.

It is unlikely I will buy anymore of their products. That is something I never thought I would say. Previously I would buy just about everything they put out without much thought because of how much I enjoyed previous titles. Now if they release anything I will go over it with a fine tooth comb before buying it.
