Also, considering where the Sens and Lightning will finish in the standing, their 5th round pick will end up like 1 or 2 spots before our 6th. Wow, big fucking deal well done Dorion. I bet he didn't even think about that.

So what get for helping Tampa out of their cap jam is a 6th to a 5th and getting rid of condon is actually great

Kind of underwhelming but it doesn’t hurt us at all so whatever

#Sens are estimated to save $10.1M from injury insurance, & saved $5.5M in signing bonus expenses by trading for players whose SB were already paid

While we project the club to have a cap hit of $65.9M, their estimated NHL roster salary expense is $47.5M

The cap floor is $60.2M.

So the Sens are spending ~13M under the cap floor.

Gm Fenton gone. Seems odd they did it now and not earlier before FA or something. He somehow locked up dumba to a beauty of a contract and is gone a yr later.

Other then that dumba contract, He's been a rather awful GM. But man, wtf is a guy supposed to do in a years time only?

Fletcher started the mess with those two gross deals for Parise/Suter and Fenton made it worse. Totally agree, his only 'good' deal was the Dumba contract. But whoever comes in is basically fucked anyways, having those two boat anchor contracts will make it impossible to rebuild, impossible to bring in more talent and they'll continue to finish in the 11-13th spot in the West.

Well parise sucks now but suter still plays pretty good. They drafted well but their main problem is that they keep trying to finish 7-8 in the west and barely make the playoffs to end up losing in the 1st round instead of focusing on rebuilding properly/acquiring more draft picks
