Are you concerned at all that the projected profits are going to be massively cut into by the black market?

It's something I heard from my dealer (who I obviously thought was full of shit) but I also heard them talking about similar things this weekend on Charles Adler (if anyone else here is old AF and listens to AM radio like me). What my dealer told me is that the legal weed will likely be $60-70 with all the taxes being imposed, and black market weed will be as cheap as $30 a quarter. I can honestly say I've seen the price of weed come down, I used to pay right around $60/q but now its $40 and apparently going to drop further according to my guy.

Now I'm not saying it's going to be a total flop, but if I can save 50% by using the guy I do now I doubt I'd buy 'legal' weed very often.

I've got a place that sells $80 oz. Here in Colorado. Comes to like 107 after tax.
I used to think like you. Until I realised the prices were just comparable but the weed you'll be getting from dispensaries is going to so so so much better quality.

I hope that this is the case in Canada aswell but I'm skeptical because Canada loves to tax the living shit out of things. Our booze is insanely expensive compared to the cost in the US. If it works out that it's cheaper and more consistent quality then I cant wait...
