a lot of these guys top 10 are still projected to be top end of the roster its just no crosby oveckin mcdavid type players
its a weaker draft for sure but the 3-10 range doesnt seem much different then normal there just isnt any super stars that stand out at that next level in the top 3

u never know, they said the exact same thing in the 2017 draft where the top end pick was weak, but makar & petey came of it

for sure even in the draft thread daily faceoff the have a much different list for draft position vs potential some of those 5-10 guys might slip back but be the best guy in the draft
nobody really knows until we know like 10 years from now lol

Woulda thought they prefer Laughton on wing but it may not be possible if they don't find another good center.

laughtons a c on nhl.com and hes a 30 point 2 way guy hes pretty solid
hes one of those guys you can plug anywhere but i think they want to leave wing spots open for the prospects to o fight for roster spots

if its not laughton its likely frost but i dont think frost did enough tbh

More information on Fedotov's whereabouts and future. Military unit 59075 in Severodvinsk, in Arkhangelsk region. The training center of the Russian Navy is located there, he will stay until September 2022. After that, it will be decided where Fedotov will serve.

My understanding of the Fedotov situation is that he had verbally agreed to extend his CSKA contract, but the decided to go to the NHL instead. Because Russian players rely on being on a deferred/exempt list with their teams to avoid conscription, CSKA decided to take him off their list so the Russian army swooped in to claim him and now he either tolls away in the Arctic to then return to CSKA or risks getting sent to the Ukrainian meatgrinder.

The Fedotov story in Russian media changed from "possibly a mistake" to "could face 2 years in jail for draft evasion" to "will probably not be sent to Ukraine".
yeah this has to be the cska owner cause i read that fedotov did his time playing for them already but they took him off the list to fuck him over they even took a while to put out any sort of statement
