So basically sens and Devils probably had serious offers for minny to consider, but obviously wasn't as good as kings offer. Wonder what they offered

I'd imagine it had more to do with agreeing on a contract? Maybe he wanted too much or didn't want to sign in NJ or OTT.

Considering his contract was announced like 10 minutes after the trade, it was definitely something that was talked about with potential landing spots before the trade got done

i dont think contract woulda been an issue, all 3 teams had ~20mil cap to work with. If Fiala was turning UFA, then it would make sense that he may or may not want to sign in NJ/OTT but he's RFA.
So that's why i think it was the offer minny chose that was best return for their team, rather than Fiala bitching eww dont trade me to east with no leverage

Very possible Fiala asked for a lot more money from OTT or NJD compared to LA because well... LA.

This and that contract demand could definitely effect the return

for sure, but the team would have his RFA rights though
