Lack of communication from Ottawa to the Brady Tkachuk camp is a big reason of what’s preventing Tkachuk from being signed. The Senators Owner has a history of this with star players. The team is set only on signing Tkachuk to a 7 or 8 year term vs doing a bridge deal.

The Senators, at times, has gone several days w/o reaching out to the Tkachuk camp. There’s a solution and a deal to be made. Again organization has a history of this with star players.

Sounds like alot of it has to do with signing bonuses on the contract, Cheap owner will be cheap.

It is a vicious cycle in Ottawa. So often top stars are lost over money.

I thought Eugene might have been turning the corner. He has been spending lately.

He has been spending lately but without Tkachuk we are barely over the cap floor 😂 In fact, had we not made the Logan Brown for Zach Sanford trade, we would be under it right now.

But oh well, I don't really mind anymore.

brady has no choice, he should just sign the long term deal. It's either that or play in KHL til he's UFA lol.

Sources say the Eichel saga may be shifting. Ongoing discussions and additional access to Jack Eichel’s medical file has helped teams with trade interest clearly see his situation. Both sides are hopeful something can be worked out soon with one of the clubs in the mix.

pretty crazy i wonder which surgery he does for whatever team trades for him
i saw a tsn vid saying the one he wants no nhl player has ever had and the one guy was like " lots of nhl players have had this and similar injuries and never got the surgery he wants"

but things change maybe the surgery is better but its new so nobody has done it yet and he wants to be the first sorta deal
or maybe he wants some random ass surgery that doctors would be like wtf why? is he going to have the same issue with other teams if they want him to get the same surgery as the sabers?
kind of an interesting situation with the medical being leaked cause now they can see hes either crazy or has a legit case and that could make or break the trade before it was a big question mark
