Taylor Hall has waived his NMC for Boston. Told the Isles and Capitals were among the teams in the running earlier today. Big pick up for the Bruins.

Bruins got him

Report: Sabres trade Taylor Hall and Curtis Lazar to Bruins for Anders Bjork and 2nd round pick

Pierre LeBrun
@PierreVLeBrun

Not surprisingly, but the Sabres retained 50 percent of Taylor Hall's $8 M salary/AAV to facilitate the trade

Lmao nice job stealing hall for pennies.
He should be able to really let loose for you guys. This will be literally the first time in his career he isnt on an absolutely abhorrent team.

Hall playing 4d chess

Gets paid in a flat cap covid season
Sets record in buffalo
Ditches shitshow to a competitive team
Chance for cup
At worst, chance for Boston to win the lotto?

He's a good skater. Great on the forecheck and back check. Has some speed, decent hands, injury problems, zero finish when putting the puck into the net.
My guess for his future is that he'll be a 3rd line winger that's on the PK also. Can tell you 100% that Buffalo could've gotten more

Getzlaf considering waiving his NTC. Linked to Vegas and perhaps also Pitts.

Haha so the rumor was that bruins originally offered 3rd for Hall, but after getting destroyed by the caps, they upped the offer to 2nd.

dreger

NYR were willing to mutually terminate Tony DeAngelo’s contract to allow him to pass through waivers and sign as a free agent. Montreal believed to very interested as early as this weekend. However, DeAngelo opted not to accept. He will be bought out of his contract this summer.

i mean why would this scumbag agree to risk terminating his contract and going to FA with a slim chance to sign with another team, hes gonna get more from being bought out and then sign for cheap or wahtever if teams are still showing interest

Saw that by Kypreos

Not sure how the Bruins giving up 8 goals without 3/4 top dmen+both goalies on a b2b forces their hand to acquire a winger though.
Not trying to make excuses but we are clearly hurting. Shameful performance.
Really hope the dmen they brought in can provide some help.

But how about the deadline was approaching and they wanted to make sure they acquired him? Seems way more likely than using that game as the reason lol.

He has a ntc so obviously that limited his value.
When asked if he rejected any moves, Hall said
“The no-movement clause really helped me become a Bruin. Since I knew I would be traded for the last few weeks it was a team I really wanted to join and I wanted to be a part of.”

He has been a disaster lately but hopefully he can regain his confidence playing with some better players.
