Does not make sense to me either.

I initially read this on hockey writers Then it popped up a couple times on my facebook feed from other lesser known (and probably less credible) sources.

Don't see Calgary actively shopping him. If anything The rumors stemmed from Boston because he is a Boston Native.

Did anyone source this yet?

I read this on hockeywriters a week ago.

It popped up on smaller sites on my facebook feed at the same time.

Since then it has died down.

Seems there was little to know legitimacy of this being discussed because I have not heard about it in some time now.

With the NHL and owners tearing up the CBA that was signed just a few months ago in JULY, the entire NHL season is supposedly in doubt now.

Kypreos: League can threaten players with a Feb 1 start, 48 game season as well

They should lock out huehuehue better do it this season than a full proper season in the future

It is a war on three fronts now.

Usually it is a simple battle between players and owners.

Now Gary Bettman has a fragmented group of owners plus the players to deal with. Getting everyone to agree is going to be next to impossible but he will have to find a way.

There is a vast difference between how much of a loss each team and ownership group can take.

Players have a very limited amount of time to earn money, so I would not be surprised if they hold their ground.
