No chance Stecher gets 3M, especially not in this cap climate.

Would be a good pickup for them though. I think they need someone on 3RD.

yeah but it's the premium flames are paying for canucks players now, it's a trend

make it 3.5m x 5 plz

give our hometown boy his moneyyyy

Still shocked by some of these signings.

Gm's not afraid to dish out term and big money despite all this uncertainty while knowing full well how high the cost is to clear a bad contract.

Going to be a lot of sorry teams a few years down the road.

Dreger: "Discussions underway this morning between Tyson Barrie and the three primary teams with interest. Tight squeeze for the Oilers, but a good fit. Vancouver is eager to land Barrie and Colorado is in the mix as well. All short term."

wow, i would not mind if they get barrie on a SHORT TERM. I wonder if it's like 6x2

Welp we already lost two players and are likely to lose more.

May as well take a shot at Barrie.

yeah i dont see why he would consider... especially when this would be his last chance to showcase that he is still a 50pt dman and lock up long term.
He's gonna have easier minutes, chill, have fun winning with the depth Avs have but i guess he still feels that he can get them easy 50+ pts since MacK and rest of the group.

then there's deadmonton, not sure if he would choose to go there but then again it's short term so maybe he will decide to and get most out of the money he can, and rack up points with 2 100pt players. I think klefbom is out?? so he would slot nicely

canucks can definitely use his services and also an option on the pp1 with hughes. Seems to fit his playstyle with green's system and the canucks are definitely missing a reputable RHD for him to slot in

[Satiar Shah on Twitter] Canucks have not been in the business of outbidding other teams for free agents in this market. They're in on Barrie but probably as long as the term remains short and the number is in the ~$4-5M range

wow this does not sound like Benning at all  great news, his biggest weakness seems to be tamed

Sounds like their final offer was 6x1 or 5x2
