Goalies almost never bring fair value on the trade market to begin with, so yeah, i dont think they will get close to fair value. And if he was so good, why are they trying to move on from him? They certainly dont have anybody on the same level to replace him with.

Thats a really big risk, he could be gone before 15th. Carolina and Edmonton pick directly ahead of the leafs and certainly need goalie help above all else. And even then, theres no guarantee Askarov is even NHL ready. Despite having massive upside and already being a strong goaltender, the chances of him making the jump straight to the nhl is low imo.
