Werner is a fkn hero.

That shutout over the Jets feels better than the blowout of the Preds.

These refs, man. What the fuck? Twice in less than 10 days, one of our guys takes a serious head injury, is on the ice bleeding out, and no stoppage.

Z's jaw is broken, he's split open, his teeth are literally shattered. The trainer is running down the ice to help him, and play continues.

Now Calvert, the toughest motherfucker on the team, and possibly the league, takes a puck to the head POINT BLANK off a wrister, is writhing in pain and bleeding out on the ice, and no stoppage.

I don't think the Z injury led to a goal directly, but this game should have been 4-2. That no-whistle on Matt's injury literally caused a goal to be scored. What the fuck?

Point blank shot to the face and he tried to get back up. Most would be unconscious from that.

I think it's safe to say he is one tough sob.

The refs are just following the rules though, however I think they have some discretion in their hands.

Going by the book though, they made the right play. If they blow the play dead they would have been bitched at as well. A no win situation for them.

Personally I would understand if the play is stopped. Serious injury with immediate medical attention required.

Thing is the goal on that play got us a point. Teams miss the playoffs by a single point all the time.

That single point results in millions of revenue loss to ownership and the local economy. It always comes down to money.

I understand under the current rule also, but I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't looked at and Changed in the future. Pettey pretty much stopped playing when it happened. The safety of the player should ALWAYS be precedent over the game itself and it's a shame 9 players had to continue to play around a player bleeding out of his head laying on the ice.

Also the bolded statement is sad in itself and if I heard that, I wouldnt want to play a game for any of these owners.
