Idk this seems like an anomaly, he’s obviously worked hard enough to get to where he is today, and being an excellent defender takes hustle and preparation. You don’t typically characterize all-defensive players as lazy. Makes me feel like with the right motivation and training program he could improve his offensive weaknesses, or you just take him for what he is without a jumper, which is still a phenomenal player.
You don't shoot sub 50% from FT and never shoot 3s having put in work, I'm sorry. I always thought Simmons was a great player but no excuse for that level of play against Atlanta. He's gotta go.
