What false hope? Nobody here guaranteed a 76ers Championship. We were all realistic with what happens in the playoffs with this team. Hell, I picked Celtics in 7 games in my d2jsp bracket before the series. People thought it was going to be a bloodbath, which it wasn't, and the 76ers choked away a perfect 3-2 lead opportunity of course. At the end of the day the 76ers lost to a team that was heavy favorites to beat them, and a team that they match up with poorly.

We aren't like Celtics fans who guarantee a title all season, talk about how nobody can stop us, are betting favorites to win it all, and then lose to an 8 seed in a series where we were -500 favorites to win lmfao. Now THAT is a different level of choking.

I think we were all frustrated because they were up 3-2, and had them dead to rights game 6 and completely fell apart. We all knew once they lost that game 6 it was over unfortunately.

Exactly. When they went up 3-2 I mean how could we not have hope at that point. Then came the collapse, sadly. Yeah they had all the momentum after G6 and returning home

At the same time you bash Tatum for being a fake mvp type of player and say OMG WE TOOK THE CELTICS TO 7, THEY ARENT EVEN THAT GOOD.

Look at it this way...

The 76ers lost against a team they were expected to lose against. They were underdogs by a pretty large margin. They lost to a team that was favored to win it all.

The Celtics lost against a team they were expected to destroy. They were huge favorites (-500 to start the series). They lost to a play-in #8 seed.


Which one would we consider choking?

Bro play whatever mental gymnastics you want, but you did not act like the Celtics were easily gonna win and don't act like you didn't think they were overatted all season. If you don't think Tatum is good, their best player, logically how can you still think the celtics were so good. That or you oversold how good you thought your team was(makes no sense since.embid mvp Harden highest ast rate Maxey etc)

I said multiple times throughout the season that the Celtics have arguably the best team on paper, in terms of the roster talent/depth....

The team around Tatum was second to none. Hence why I said if that dude was on a bad team he'd be Rudy Gay 2.0 rofl. I mean how many times did we see him get carried shooting like shit and doing his infamous disappearing act this past season? He's more like a 1B if anything.

Celtics choked bigger than the 76ers did, that's the reality. As bad as our loss was (losing while up 3-2 is rough), losing to a higher seed and championship favorites isn't some wild upset. However, Celtics going down 0-3, then battling back 3-3, only to get absolutely shit on in game 7 on your home court against an 8th seed in the ECF's is what you can call choking lol!!!
