New thread, since old ones were directed to specific seasons or outdated, etc.
Anyways..
Need Embiid back, 4 game losing streak since losing him. Thybulle too. They've been without their three best defenders (Embiid, Simmons and Thybulle) and they're feeling it on the defensive end.
Despite that 4 game losing streak without Embiid (and without Harris for a chunk of the season as well), the Sixers still maintain the #1 offensive rating in the NBA to this point in the season.
Through 14 games as the starting point guard in Ben Simmons absence, 20 year old Tyrese Maxey is balling out and making his claim averaging 18/5/4 on 52/41/88 efficiency. He's averaging 30/4/4 on 59/50/100 efficiency over the past 3 games (all without Embiid).
Maxey's floater game is absolutely ridiculous...
FG%’s on Floaters -
Tyrese Maxey: 64%
Ja Morant: 44%
Trae Young: 44%
CJ McCollum: 41%
LaMelo Ball: 41%
Steph Curry: 40%
James Harden: 37%
Of those 7, Maxey has the 2nd most Floaters - trailing only Trae Young.
Good times, never thought we'd be so optimistic after a 4 game losing streak but at full health this team is way better than any of us could have imagined without Simmons.
