Magic and Shaq said Kobe was the greatest Laker ever after he retired. Are those guys not in your top 10 either? 4th all time in scoring, while a 12 time all-nba defender, dude won 2 rings with Pau fucking Gasol and not much else bro. You are letting analytics fuck with your common sense here.

I’m not at all. It provides context to people like you who are easily manipulated by hype, bias and prejudice.

Kobe was a very inefficient scorer that did little to make the rest of the players around him better.

He got worse in the playoffs and was extremely poor during clutch time.

Your definition of Kobe Bryant’s playoffs = 2009-10 finals game 7?
Is that your ONLY memory of Kobe Bryant in the playoffs?

No matter how bad Kobe played in game 7 that year, he still played better than Lebron vs Mavs in the finals.
No matter how hard you try, Kobe > Lebron.

We're talking about a guy he lived in the mid-range taking the highest degree of difficulty shots we've ever seen.

His FG% on his career is the same as Melo and he comes with elite defense... The best basketball players acknowledge Melo as one of the most lethal scorers of all time just couldn't play defense.

When you have to carry the load and the defenses know it's going to be you, you fg% will suffer. Hes a top 10 player of all time without argument from anyone in the world of basketball except you lol. I'm going to trust what my eyes told me his 20 years of playing AND what every single smart person in the game has said rather than listen to Fagzuu@jsp.

Steve Kerr is only a career 47% fg shooter, as the highest 3pt shooter of all time, shooting wide open shots. Have some perspective.

Tracy McGrady had a similar aggressive scoring mentality, score from anywhere as the extreme focal point. Played crap defense, had some pretty decent teams around him, finished with a lower FG% than Kobe did...

And Mitchell Robinson and fucking DeAndre Jordan lead the league in FG% annually. Need I really say more?

It’s about his career in the playoffs.

He didn’t carry the load. Both Shaq and pau played better than Kobe did.

You are mad that data shows Kobe is overrated because you liked him. Your argument that is he is as good as melo at scoring is a knock on Kobe, not a valuable trait. Melo and Kobe are very similar players. Both extremely inefficient but scored at large numbers because of the volume of terrible shots they took.

You previously referenced 44.7 from field of kobe, and now talking about Kerr’s 47% from 3. Completely different stats.

Picking out a single player is not a way to demonstrate your point. Kobe shot worst than league average.

That’s his career fg% dawg not 3. I gave you 5 examples that were all relevant to discussion.. Melo McGrady Kerr, Robinson and Jordan. 3 legends at scoring the ball, and 2 not so much that are “efficient” scores. Definitely not mad except you dismissing stuff is kinda annoying I guess if you had to put a word on it.

You are correct if you’re only reading the stat sheets and not watching the games.

Because he doesn’t even come close to top 5
