I see you've completely ignored the fact that Embiid has had 3 running mates more accomplished and recognized as greater players than Middleton, meanwhile Giannis has a ring and a 2nd run to the ECF yet Embiid has not made a conference finals once. When Middleton missed the entire series against the Celtics, Giannis pushed them to 7. When Simmons missed the entire series against the Celtics, Embiid got swept.

Dame is better than Middleton, Simmons, Butler, and Harden tho so there are no excuses for this Milwaukee team

Embiid has never had a guard play anywhere near the level of Middleton during the Bucks Championship run.

Let's put it this way...outside of Butler for half a season like 5 years ago (before Embiid reached MVP level), Embiid's #2 players were Ben Simmons and James Harden. Now please, tell me what both of those players are known for in the playoffs 🤣

Ben Simmons isn't even a #3 or #4 for that matter. And Harden is Harden, he's known for flopping in the playoffs. Having one great game followed by three absolute trash performances.

Look at Jokic...he never did shit without Murray playing at a superstar playoff level. Jokic was swept and knocked out early in the playoffs his MVP seasons without Murray to help carry.

^Sixers

Giannis Playoff PER: 25.6
Embiid Playoff PER: 21.6

your thoughts?

This is a random thing to bring up. It seems you're a little defensive because the Bucks aren't looking like world beaters as you thought they would.

He has Maxey this year so there should be 0 excuses right? There are very few guards in the East as talented as Maxey

Maxey should be that guy, yes. He has performed well in the playoffs, but obviously was very young and not that quite there yet. He looks like he's that guy now come playoff time (hopefully).

I mean he just turned 23 like a week ago, so still early in his career. There's no doubt he's going to be a bonifide All-Star, but they still need to add a third star. I'd really like OG from Toronto, his versatility defensively would be a huge add. Lavine would be cool but I worry about his defense come playoff time.

See this is the gripe with Embiid, every time a star doesn’t play well with Embiid he gets an excuse. Forget about Simmons even, it was the same story with Horford, Harden, and Butler. If the 76ers flounder again will Embiid take ownership? I doubt it… with Nurse in place and Maxey coming into his own all eyes are on Embiid to get past the second round. If he fails to do it again we all know the common denominator

Embiid has taken plenty of blame in the playoffs though. I've given him blame, as has every 76ers fan. He has played great but also has moments where he shrinks. Fact still remains he has never had a guard actually play GREAT like Middleton did for Giannis or Murray did for Jokic.

Doc Rivers is also a joke. Master of blowing 3-2 leads and last season pulled it off again. Nick Nurse should (hopefully) be able to avoid that.

With that said...this team is far from finalized.
