Oh yes, just me glazing. Not the entire league as we all watched McCain dropping like 25 PPG as a rookie once he started getting real minutes (and starting).

Good news is the Sixers guard depth is so absurd now he isn't even a top 3 guard on the team. They have two stars in Maxey and Edgecomb, and painted nails is an afterthought.

Also, McCain just doesn't have an opportunity anymore as of now. There's no room for him to get back to form with the depth they have, because they're too good in the backcourt. Sending him down to play back into form is the best move. It's better than rotting on the bench. The skills are still there, but not playing isn't gonna get him any better.

With their 24th win of the season the 76ers have matched their entire total from all of last season.

They're just barely over the halfway mark on this season. Still 39 more to go..

At what point do you give up on him and start building around maxey and edgecomb? Or is it that he has no value at the moment?

Maxey is and has been the best player on the 76ers for 2 seasons now...

This is Maxey's team. Which, if Embiid continues to play at this level tells you how good this team can be considering he looks like dominant form. And if PG remains healthy and plays at this level with VJ, Oubre, etc. They'll be tough.

VJ and Maxey backcourt is the future though. Morey has absolutely crushed it in the draft since coming to Philly.

There is no way you still believe in Pandemic P. He has shown time and time he’s not built for the playoffs. I would wait until embiid gets up to form to trade for highest value.

Where does this notion that PG is such a terrible playoff performer come from? He literally has better averages in the playoffs than he does in the regular season over his career lol. He has had some bad playoff stretches, but he has also had some amazing runs as well, like the 2021 playoffs where he played amazing.

Plus, PG is the 3rd option now on most nights, maybe actually even the 4th at times with the way VJ plays as a rookie. PG's defense is big time for this team, even if his offense isn't what it once was.
