Doesnt eveyone get the same rest? Why is his specifically adv for hou?
The national media always criticizes James Harden's playoff failures. A lot of times he produces big stats but he's exhausted.
People will say he quit in that elimination game against the Spurs back in 2017. He had nothing left physically in that game.
And to be perfectly honest with you James Harden has done a lot in the playoffs. Four Western Conference Finals appearances and one NBA Finals appearance. He simply ran into a lot of great teams including the big three in Miami and the big four in Golden State. Even losing to the Spurs in 2017 wasn't anything to sneeze at. They had a really amazing team full of talent. The worst team Harden lost to in the playoffs was that Damian Lillard Portland team which you can make a case had two all-star players.
This is the first time James Harden is going to enter the playoffs with a lot of energy and he's in the best shape of his life.
He also lost a lot of weight prior to arriving at the Disney bubble. Russell Westbrook is in the same unique position.
I'll put it to you this way. Four months ago if James Harden took off his shirt you'd say, "OMG! That's a sloppy dad bod!"
If James Harden takes off his shirt right now you would say, "OMG! He looks like a Greek God. Like a younger LeBron!"
TL:DR - Yes, every team is facing the same set of circumstances but no other team has two MVP players that are constantly denounced as playoff chokers.
