If you want to deal with semantics then in the official rules it says 'Ideally' meaning that it doesnt explicitly need to be so. SO you cannot try to pul;l a technicality of a rule off to get out of this 1500fg bet that you confirmed twice.

You never formally asked for him to CD back which wasnt warranted as he already cd'd your offer according to semantics which is what you are trying to hide behind anyway
