Hot take full of delusional blind hate. Also a massive overreaction when we're like 25% of the way into the season 🤣

Morey has done a great job. Absolutely killing it in the draft since coming to Philly despite not even having a lottery pick, handled the Simmons situation well and got a good return, got rid of Horfords shit contract, got good value in return for Harden, signed good role players, and best of all got PG to Philly. 🔥

I mean sure, I guess surrounding Embiid with an All-Star point guard, an All-Star Wing, a good backup big, and a bunch of good role players isn't so bad. And yes, when healthy? Sixers obviously have one of the best starting lineups.

P.S. Sixers about to get their 3rd win in the last 4 games. Still without Embiid. They're starting to gel together which is a beautiful thing. Just need the big fella back and it all comes together. 👏

Where am I being delusional? And there's no hate bro, just because it hurts your feelings when I'm trying to be objective, you said best 5 in the NBA, that's WILD bro... Just stop being a cock and we'll be just fine, but rn you're worse than a green teamer and you are like that on the regular.

At full health? Why would it be unreasonable to think they're in the convo for best starting lineup? They'd be up there for sure.

Tyrese Maxey
Kelly Oubre
Caleb Martin
Paul George
Joel Embiid

Haven't seen this group together at all this season yet though lol. Or could swap in McCain, or Yabusele at the 4 and move PG to the 5. Lots of options. On paper this is the best team (fit wise) Embiid has had around him, if he'd actually play. They still gonna grab a good vet PF at the deadline though.

Morey did well with the Yabusele and Martin signings. Great value for their contracts. Miami was willing to give Martin a much larger contract to retain him. It's hard to build around 3 max contracts and he did well giving them depth with those two along with Drummond, McCain, etc.

To answer your first question, because you have Caleb Martin and Kelly Oubre in your starting 5, as well as Maxey

Teams are going to take in turns picking on them. It’ll be lambs to the slaughter

There’s at minimum 3 better starting 5s in the East alone

And probably just as many if not more in the West

76ers would have a top 10 starting 5 (when healthy), but one of the best? Huge stretch.

Ummm

Caleb is a VERY good defender lol. We know he dropped his nutts on the Celtics in the playoffs before but at least act like you've watched him before.

And while Oubre can be inconsistent, he has shown he's a very capable defender when engaged (athleticism and size alone gives him an edge) hes just kinda dumb. His on-ball defense vs Brunson in the playoffs was excellent and a big reason Brunson struggled so much early on in the series. Gives them more of the athleticism they always lacked on the wing.

Martin, PG, Embiid all good/elite defenders.

Again, it all comes down to Embiid being healthy. If he isn't playing it doesn't matter. When he was on the floor last season they had an 80% win% (31-8) which was the best team in the NBA.

This team now, even without embiid, looks like they can stay afloat as long as PG is playing. He elevates them quite a bit and they look a whole lot better lately that's for sure.
