The hilarity of this? The Bucks and Raptors did the thing… you know winning a championship?

10 years of misery and the 76ers still aren’t out of the 2nd rd. The only MVP to never get out of the 2nd rd, yes it was a pity award backed by pulling the race card and pointing to Jokics lack of playoff success at the time

Also....WUT lol

ESPN did inject racial consideration into the race between Jokic and Embiid... Kendrick Perkins and Jason Whitlock said straight out that people only prefer Jokic because he's white

Imagine thinking a guy who dominates the defensive end while leading the league in scoring and averaging 33/11/5 is a "pity" award MVP. Good lord...

You can't make this up. 😂

Embiid should have more than 1 MVP if we're being honest. Giving it to a defensive pylon who can't defend the rim to save his life is comical in itself.

wow such a dominant player who literally had another MVP running mate still couldn't make it out of the semis

An MVP running mate? Ummmm WHO?

PLZ don't tell me you're talking about James Harden lmao. He wasnt even an All-Star that season and was the worst player in the entire series in like 5 of the 7 playoff games lol.

Also...MVP is a REGULAR SEASON AWARD.

Conference standings don't mean shit for the draft bro...unless you're in the playoffs (which the bucks arent)

East is horrible this year. Right now if the draft happened the bucks pick is top 10. https://www.tankathon.com/

James Harden is a former MVP, there is no denying that fact

The Bucks are not a lottery team if the season ended today? They’d have play-in game(s) to determine if they play on

What does being a former MVP have to do with the player he was that season?

Embiid has never had a guard play great consistently in the playoffs, until Maxey last season lol. And even then, Maxey disappeared in the elimination game.

James Harden and Ben Simmons, two guys who notoriously disappear in the postseason, were his best guards. Even going really far back (before Embiid was in his prime) for the half a season that he had Jimmy, he wasn't really that great in the postseason either.

Jokic, as great as he is, only wins in the playoffs when Murray plays at a superstar level. When they had their title run, Murray went nuts and put up absurd numbers. As Steve Kerr called him, the "head of the snake" for the Nuggets. That's what it takes as a big man you gotta have a guard who can create and get buckets consistently like Murray did. Without Murray, Jokic got swept in the first and second rounds both MVP seasons lol.

Embiid may NEVER have an iconic playoff moment, so why tf are you talking so much about Jokic and Giannis? They did what every great player could ever dream of doing Championship + FMVP
