More playing time incoming for this kid

Looks like we know why they sent Springer packing. Ricky Council IV is a walking bucket.

We all knew Embiid was holding the sixers back. We now have unleashed the beast that is Ricky Council IV.

Was against the Wizards so trying to keep it in perspective but still a very encouraging performance. They would not have won that game without him, for what its worth lol

If this team can be healthy for the playoffs, they have a pretty legit rotation that could make a serious run.

Maxey, Lowry, Payne
Melton, Hield,
Batum, Oubre
Tobias, Covington
Embiid, Reed, Bamba

Playoff rotation probably gonna use 8 guys on any given night. Starting lineup is obviously phenomenal when healthy (best net rating in the league), and bringing Lowry, Hield, Oubre, Covington and Reed/Bamba off the bench is pretty nice.

Only concern is as usual the non-Embiid minutes how Reed/Bamba hold up. They're hit or miss.

Melton, Harris, Batum, and Lowry practiced with no restrictions today. Hopefully the teams overall health keeps trending in the right direction

Tough stretch coming out of the break with Knicks, Cavs, Bucks, Boston. Need to stay afloat

Oh mannnnn if they get everyone back this team could be something else. At full strength they can go toe to toe with anyone in the league. Just need everyone healthy.

What are we thinking rotation wise when Embiid is back too?

Starters:
Maxey
Melton
Batum
Harris
Embiid

Bench
Lowry/Payne
Hield
Oubre Jr, Council
RoCo
Reed/Bamba

Obviously shrunk down for playoffs.

I could see them moving Hield to the starting lineup and moving Melton to the bench for obvious reasons. Hield looks like a monster and will play great off Embiid. I'd imagine they will always have either Maxey or Hield on the floor.

Also, X-Factor is Ricky Council IV. Kid looks like the real deal and plays like a 5 year vet. For anyone questioning why they moved on from Springer, this is why. More minutes for Council who is so much better. If he continues to play like this he will certainly be in the playoff rotation even if limited minutes.

The potential of this roster with everyone healthy is pretty damn exciting. I honestly think the option with Buddy starting over Melton is the one they’ll end up going with but either way I’d be fine. Nurse will test out both in the regular season. I just think Buddy’s shooting / gravity is too good to not be with the starters. But no matter who starts they’ll both end up playing a lot of minutes in a given playoff game so whatever

Really liking what council has done so far. He’s definitely more NBA ready than Springer was, which is kind of crazy with springer being in his 3rd year. Even if it’s just in the regular season he has shown a lot of promise and he’s on the right track to be a contributor for this team, possibly in the playoffs but we’ll see. As an undrafted rookie I do wonder if Nurse would trust him come playoff time

I would imagine when it comes down to it the playoff rotation would only consist of Maxey, Hield, Batum, Harris, Embiid, Oubre, Lowry, Melton and then whenever between Reed/Bamba when needed in non-Embiid minutes.
