Embiid's mid range shooting this year is next level. He's just unstoppable with the ability to shoot over anyone at an elite rate. If you try to play him tight he'll just put the ball on the floor and drive or draw the foul catching guys reaching. If Wemby can't stop it with his length and range then idk who can.

Literally the only way teams can slow him is by throwing a double/triple team at him with multiple bigs, and even that isn't working. Just unreal footwork and body control.

Embiid is him because he can score on 20 y/o Jeremy Sochan and 20 y/o Wemby? Get real

Look at how much Hakeem already accomplished at this age in the playoffs. That’s who Embiid tries to emulate with his game (the baiting antics are unique to Embiid)

Hakeem was doing it in an era when the C position was loaded too. The East barely has any great big men and this guy still can’t get it done

Lol "great big men"

You put a big man out there that is comparable in size to Embiid and he will run circles around them. They'll get torched off the dribble, he will face up and hit them with pull up jumpers all day long. If you put a smaller big man that is quick he will just get bullied by Embiids sheer size/strength like Wemby. There is just no answer. There is not a basketball player in the world that can match him.

There is no answer for a 7'+ at that size who can play like a wing with that kind of footwork and shooting touch. The only answer is really good team defense and pray his teammates miss open shots.

I mean ... except for Al Horford. Fuck that guy. I hope he demolishes him next time we play the C's.

I think the only people that I've seen give trouble to Embiid have been Al Horford and Marc Gasol. Can't recall anyone else.

The 76ers as a team didn’t look all that good against one of the worst teams in the league. At home. With their starters all playing big minutes. With their MVP scoring 70.

I mean ... that was their 3rd game in 4 days. Most teams look flat after that, specially since the Sixers had two away games back to back and had to travel home.

I mean the Spurs are actively trying to lose games and their best player was in foul trouble. This is a game that as a fan you'd hope Embiid would get more time to sit

It just seems silly to me to have Embiid out there shooting nearly 40 times against a non-competitive team. The reason nobody can touch Wilt's 100 record is because it takes a crazy level of endurance to put up 40, 50, 60 shots in a single game

Technically Embiid shot like 60 times if you include the charity stripe

I wasn't all that jazzed when Giannis put up his 64 pt game to be fair. I think the 76ers and Bucks will both fall flat in the playoffs for different reasons. The Bucks will fail because their defense is a joke and the 76ers will fail because Embiid doesn't have the endurance to play every game of every series for multiple rounds at this level

It'll be either Indiana or Boston to make the Finals IMO

Gasol was years ago, what...5 years? Embiid was nowhere near the player he is now.

And Horford will get cooked now as well. Celtics play better team defense than anyone, they trap well and time help to limit open shots when rotating. Horford does well holding his ground but this year Embiid is doing things he NEVER did before. Nick Nurse running a real offense has done wonders too. Actual off ball movement will make it MUCH harder to double now.

Lol this is such a reach. It's almost as if you don't watch NBA games and see anyone beat or compete with anyone on any given night.

76ers had played 3 in 4 nights, and were shorthanded. They won by double digits and Embiid dominated.

One post you're saying Embiid stat padded, the next you're saying the Sixers didn't look that good in a close game vs a bad team. Make your mind up, we can't keep up with all the hate and salt 🤣
