How is it a losing situation if Embiid leads the 76ers past the 2nd round? I wouldn't have anything negative to say. Nurse was a good coaching hire, Oubre was a good FO move, if Embiid so happens to be the beneficiary of circumstances such as these that improve the team... then great for him.

I think what's really going on here is a win/win situation for yourself. If Embiid leads the 76ers to Conference Finals+ then you'll get to gloat while simultaneously cushioning the sting of failure by setting up justifications if they lose early again.
