As many of you know, there has been a dispute about whether or not a bet between Izzo4Rizzo and Megatroniks was made, and in the aftermath, the D2JSP administration staff locked Izzo4Rizzo, for failing to comply with repayment on what they considered to be a valid bet. Since that incident we’ve been in constant communication with the Mod Team, which prompted a second look at this decision. The results of which is outlined here |
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=85246820&f=250&p=571628540We the Unofficial Bettors List find Megatroniks to have acted in the wrong: as per our posted rules (
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=84475009&f=204 ), no bet was established. While this is hopefully a unique situation, a new rule is being implemented to mitigate any future incidents.
First and foremost, should you be the recipient of a similar judgement, we
strongly advise that you do exactly as the mod team directs, which includes making any requested payments. There is little we can do to help once your account is locked, meaning compliance is your best bet for a favorable outcome.
As cases of this nature are complicated, our approach will likely differ with each instance. Our plan is to reach out to the user immediately following an S/A for a clearly invalid bet. We will thoroughly explain our rules and why exactly the bet was invalid, in an effort to have the S/A retracted. Should the user decline and receive a favorable ruling from the D2Jsp mod team, we will again explain what a valid bet is, and implore them to return the FG to avoid being tagged. Only after a user refuses to return all ill-gotten FG, will the list take action against said user. As this lack of understanding and compliance shows a flagrant disregard for the sub as a whole, we have no choice but to
blacklist such offenders.
Per the current D2JSP rules, betting is not a recognized or enforced FG transaction, but the mod team has made it clear that they have no plans now, or for the future, to take a more direct approach with the betting forums. As long as that stance remains, we on the bettors list will continue to mediate bets and moderate disputes, in an attempt to keep this forum alive and well.
