If they trade tillman for reynolds ... orioles are dumbasses. I honestly don't see how they can possibly think bringing a hitter that plays in the weakest of all divisions will play in a division that has the best overall pitching and has a lot of strike out pitchers.(If the Yanks somehow rope in Greinke and land Lee Reynolds may strike out more than half of his total at bats in the season).

Greinke said he doesn't want to pitch in New York dumbass he has an anxiety disorder he wouldn't be able to handle it.

tl;dr

Quote
Though Kansas City starter Zack Greinke(notes) has a no-trade clause in his contract that includes the Yankees and other big-market teams, a source close to the right-hander suggested he would happily pitch anywhere that would provide a winning team.

“I wouldn’t put it past him to go to New York,” the source said. “I don’t think he’d rule out anybody. He says he likes New York. Especially because they’re winners. He wants to go to a team that wins.

Even if it drove the price on him, if he wants to go to a winner there are only few who can pay the royal's price. The yanks are one of the precious few. The Yanks are practically the only team that will give him a shot at winning.

Do you want to make a bet he isn't on the Yankees by Opening Day?

Baltimore could pay the price for greinke, but I doubt they would even consider it considering their team already lacks depth. A trade of greinke from the orioles would likely have to include weiters and arrieta along with 2 other minor leaguers.

Oh, I guess somehow my post of "If the yanks can somehow rope Greinke in" magically changed to "Greinke will be a Yankee by opening day, I guaratee it."

By the way this is the type of trade the Orioles should be making if they ever plan on taking a step towards winning. Holding onto their prospects and refusing to trade them has lead them to 13 straight losing seasons.

They have a chance to get a power hitting 3B that has greatly improved his defense. He is a righty too and they need a righty. His OPS vs Lefties is not bad at all and they can't hit lefties. His OBP with RISP last year was over .400 while the Orioles were one of the worst in the league with RISP. If either of you really think he is a sub .200 hitter than you are out of your minds. He had injuries last year and his BABIP isn't going to be that low again. Dude should hit around .240 which would raise his OBP even more and Buster Olney is right he really might hit 50 HR's playing in Camden.

But no, hang onto that 22 year old prospect that you have no clue if he will work out or not and don't get a real 3B keep using Wiggington.

you really missed the point. Why would we trade tillman who has significantly more talent and worth, when we could trade bullpen arms and still get him.
