addy is suspended 40 games as of now, I don't see them making a push for machado as he will command a huge contract. who would trade for chatwood?? we will be eating his contract up. Happ and Almora are trade pieces because they're young and talented and I think we re-sign hamels anyway.

going into next year, you got lester, hendricks, quintana, darvish, hamels and drew smyly as a spot starter. the offense my only hope is they re-sign murphy too. you got a lot of young players that will need large contract extensions soon as well.

I know hes suspended, but hes gone. Wont play another game with the Cubs. And clearly Chatwood contract makes it hard to move him so the Cubs would have to eat some and package another player with him to make it worth it.

They need to make some changes, just throwing out the same roster again will be a big mistake and lead to the same type of ending. The offense relies to heavily on the Home Run, they need real hitters. The entire roster is sluggers, that stopped slugging lol.

Addison will be gone 300% he never plays for the cubs again. Machado wants to play SS, so Baez goes to second again. Even if Machado plays 3rd.... Bryant is probably better in left field. So that’s settled.

Pretty easy switch. How is Harper better than Machado? Are you high as fuck? Harper is exactly opposite of what the Cubs need ... another home run reliant hitter
