wanted to buy the wife a nice bike for riding on the streets with the dog, but also serve as an off-road/trail bike. Looked at some bicycle stores but they're about the same price as an atv. Need some advice for a cheaper route.

Not looking to get a used bike that I potentially have to replace things on. Not to mention, the few times I've been there, those bikes are like Walmart quality. I'm looking for something that isn't 5000$+. I dont mind a couple hundred on a decent bike for her
