dayum, now you made me want to try it too :D
i only have a basic printer so i dont know if that would work. is your printer special? like a laser printer or something?
the frames look really good for 2$
I wanna say it's an HP OfficeJet, 6XXX? series, nothing fancy - probably in the $100-150 range now, might even be able to get a better printer for that range
It's an inkjet, and knowing the type of printer you have determines what type of paper you print on
You want to reduce the print speed from the default fast to the slowest setting, and quality from default to the best option available
This uses more ink and will cost more per print, resulting in less prints per ink cartridge, but the quality of the print is much nicer
Set the print options to full bleed all the way to the edges if your printer allows it, glad that mine did
The frames were also from Walmart, mainstay 8.5x11 document format picture frame
The 3 packs are the cheapest option, but the single packs (when bought in person) are more reliable
All of my damaged frames (chipped glass or broken plastic edges) were all from multi packs
They also offer multiple different sizes with the same style frame, but 8.5x11 seemed like a good size to me personally, standard paper size
Another option is to send the images to a printing company and hope they just print the pictures without questioning you, might be cheaper if you only want a few
Printing your own is a great opportunity if you want a bunch, with freedom to print whatever you want, and the ability to control the quality yourself
And then you get to enjoy the fun of looking like a crazy person buying all the 8.5x11 frames from the multiple stores around you
