A personal favorite is the grisaia animation series: Grisaia No Kajitsu, Grisaia No Meikyuu (which is the movie) and Grisaia No Rakuen. Packs a loveable harem, a nice story and a Badass likeable character that experienced a lot of bs. Season 1 (kajitsu) has 13 episodes, movie lasts around 1 hour and a couple of minutes (covers the painful as hell past of the mc) and rakuen has 10 episodes.
Now talking about the ones i liked the most and I'd recommend:
Hagure Yuusha No Estetica - Decent story, cool mc. Sadly is uncompleted, you'll have to read the LN to check the ending.
Konosuba - Top anime of 2016, i mean this shit was so amazing that is praised by a lot of people as one of the funniest anime ever done. This just shits on every other anime of the isekai theme (like sao, gate, overlord). 10/10, I watch it again whenever I feel despressed.
Haru hai to gensou no grimgar - This anime did the same as konosuba about shiting on other isekai animes, but it took a darker theme, with a realistic and cool story. A bunch of guys wake up in a different world where they have to survive and have no memories prior of coming there.
Re:Zero - I have mixed feelings regarding this one. Yeah it is in fact one of those amazing animes you get to see once in a while, but to try to keep up with the mc screams and stupid decitions is like the reason why a lot of people dropped Black Cover. This is the 3rd anime that follows konosuba and Haru hai pattern: Shitting on the isekai animes. This one takes a melancholic and dark theme on it, as it loves making its mc suffer.
Overlord - Anime is pretty enjoyable with a cool theme. However in season III you may get a bit mad at the MC if you didn't get the idea that he's neither the bad guy or the good guy, he just does whatever it takes to keep his "family" safe.
Btooom! - It was decent but enjoyable, however to see the ending you'll have to watch the manga which I'd recommend, since the manga covers more aspects deeply. There's 2 endings for this anime in the manga, leaving the viewers to choose which of them is cannon.
Shokugeki No Soma - At 1st I was skeptic with this one. A shonen anime about good? Well fuck this turned out to be a hilarous fucking amazing show.
No Game No life - People may not like how the mc's are op and full of bs, but it is still enjoyable to watch.
SAO III - 3rd season Of SAO and tbh the only one worth the time besides the 1st arc of the 1st season. It is doing really great, however watching the 2 seasons before this one may not be satisfying.
Goblin Slayer - Ongoing anime of this season, does pack action and some really nice animation with a cool story and likeable mc.
Seishun Buta Yarou - Good anime with a good mc that's ongoing of this season.
Fate series - The ufotable works are great (unlimited blade work and zero). Also keep an eye on the movie, heaven's feel which is amazing, and if you want to see the best version of the mc, the movie for kaleid prisma is good.
One Punch Man - Amazing anime that mocks on other shonens.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan - The most epic anime made up to date. Seriously, watch it and you'll grow the most manly beard ever. This anime is on my heart as deep as grisaia series.
