The fact that Tyrion was a fucking captive and then they let him dictate who was going to be the next king is just insane.

What do you mean? He was a captive to grey worm and the remnants of Danys army. He still had say with everyone who was left with power in Westeros. For fuck sake Sansa was sitting right there, Davos, Gendry, Brienne. In that scene, Grey worm had captives but he was almost powerless with armies at their walls. His only out was executing Jon Snow in spite of the rest of them, but without a ruler now, even GW wanted a sane option. He couldn't shut Tyrion up and Bran was the most non denominational option.
It blows my mind how difficult a show like this is for people to comprehend.

There are broadcast television channels like ABC, NBC, CBS etc for you.

When you consider the crime he was held captive for it wasn't that bizarre.

He freed his brother. The only reason he was still held captive was because of the tensions between the two parties.

i agree with your ideas, but the dialogue was terribly written

First time Tyrion tries speak, the man holding his chains shouts him down.

Immediately Tyrion starts speaking softly and Greywurm idly stands by as it evolves into a series-defining monologue

That was a very good ending to the show, it was the most logical outcome.

Great episode, sad to see the show go :(

Nice call back:

i had a galactic empire vibe when i saw dany next to the big ass flag talking then leaving with guards around her

the biggest wtf moment for me is the dragon melting the throne like wtf was he doing that for

is the dragon smart enough to understand the whole meaning of that throne

Bran doesn't need a throne, he already has one, with wheels!

That's what Tyrion does, that's how the show has been from day one and it's why people love him. He always talked back to his family and it nearly got him killed multiple times. He always clashed with Tywin, Cersei and Joffrey, he pimp slapped the latter. He never held his tongue or was scared to speak his truth (or manipulations).

Also, during the council meeting scene, Grey Worm didn't really have any power. He had a single prisoner and an army with nowhere to go, there was no bargaining power for him and the future of the Unsullied by threatening war.

I'm neither happy, nor sad about the ending, it's "Bitter sweet" per say, but it's clear the show runners doesn't have RR's writing nor do I except it. The internet hype outrage is strong as always, as people invested 6 years watching, expecting a utopia that's nigh on impossible to write, I understand.

I just feel content, I think. It's logical, if you want a true ending, wait for the books perhaps?

It was okay.

after a few hours of sleep i gotta say that the ending was ok overall

whats absolutely ridiculous though is that a cutthroat becomes lord of highgarden and a member of the small council
no way this even remotely happens in that universe

so sad to see dany go after all this time

I don't see how that is relevant.

A good idea is a good idea no matter who it comes from. They all agreed to it.

And everyone at that meeting knew Tyrion was at least above average intelligence so they are at least willing to listen to his idea.

A Lannister always pays his debts. Tyrion owed Bronn and he paid up on that.
