There is probably some bandwagoning
But the one thing that I think everyone should be able to agree on is that Episode 3, plot wise, was an abomination.
7 seasons of build up then he shows up and dies in 5 minutes.\
Meanwhile, about 10 main characters are shown completely surrounded for the entire last 20 minutes of the episode yet nothing happens to them. If they are going to make them survive at least make them work together and have it be believable instead of just stuck in a corner surrounded for half the episode.
Episode 1 decent
Episode 2 fantastic
Episode 3 ignores 7 seasons of buildup.
I see how some have massive issues with that, especially the NK arc. I thought episode was great personally.
But he has no book counter-part, so (for GRRM) he was never meant to be the big bad guy.. even though the show (and perhapes even more so the fans) built him up to be. People expected mysterious answers spelled out to them by Bran, i think the majority of fans also wanted a cliche hero vs villain fight to the death too, another reason for the saltyness. I think it was great that arya did it in the way she did.
He's a side quest, the overwhelming story has always been the throne.
As for the ridiculous scenes of main characters surrounded - yea i can't really defend it, should have been portrayed better.
Although i should say those scenes didnt get too much screen time, we just saw them intermittently (i guess to build tension). Focusing on this too much is what i meant by nitpicking.
@bold
It doesnt ignore it, you just didnt like the result of said build up.
