Just seems like you are... you made it sound like her running for her life was her working towards the NK, when that just wasn't the case. Dealing with a head injury, massively fatigued and we were shown how insanely difficult it was for her to avoid the lowest of the low, yet she's able to run at a full sprint past the strongest walkers and that's ignoring that there wasn't a path until the moment she got there and then one magically appeared. The problems in this season have been fairly minor, but that is without a doubt one of them.

Again, we can agree to disagree. Maybe we should both rewatch the episode and see if we're misremembering certain details, but that was a pretty big wtf, there's no way that should happen moment.

I mean I personally don't think there is anything special (combat wise) about the walkers. I disagree with you calling them the strongest/his best generals. They die really easily and seem to be just what the NK uses to control such a massive army.

Edit 2: I'll rewatch the scene when I get home but I'm pretty sure the path was opened for the NK to walk in.

They let the night king fight Theon. Why would they worry about sole literal girl? That’s my only explanation for that scene. Then of course the “sneaking up on me” foreshadows earlier in the season.
