I think the first men spinoff will be better tbh but the targaryan fire and blood spinoff im not sure yet

Just not enough info yet. All it takes is a bad director, poor casting choices, or budget problems for a potentially amazing show to go to shit lol. HBO is stupidly better than anyone else when it comes to making quality shows, and I think we've got a lot of Westeros goodness to come, but I'm still nervous.

So far the revealed cast for the first men is pretty good but with george cowriting it and hbo producing it im hyped as fuck for it. Got first 6 seasons were amazing. And hbo wanted 10 seasons in total but in the end they slashed 2 seasons and rushed everything to finish it in 8 seasons

I'm hyped.

More and more I'm starting to feel that's why the WW/NK stuff was shoved out of the way so quickly. They want to have some easy crowd pleasure shit for the spinoffs and they know more insight into them will be an instant win.

Dude... come on.

She was running from walkers the whole time, she didn't have a direction until right at the fucking end when she left the Hound. Bran was completely surrounded by a huge hoard, including all the NK's best officers, but she somehow got to the center of that to dive at him. It was a bad scene lol.

She wasn't running from the walkers the whole time. She was running from the wights after she lost her weapon and got surrounded by too many to fight (after beating a lot of them). Also she pretty effortlessly evaded them in the library scene which is impressive.

Most of the episode was about slowing down the NK to buy Arya time... There was a freaking open path leading right to the NK. It showed Arya running down that path extremely quickly then the jump scene. It's all there and it's not out of no where. There is even foreshadowing with her knife trick vs Brianne and sneaking up on Jon in the gods wood.

Also the show has shown the walkers to be pretty slow and incompetent, really all they are for is to help control the massive Army of the dead. Every time we have seen them fight they have been killed extremely easily. Not sure why you say "surrounded by his best generals" as if they are anything more than just a wifi extender for his magic.

There's an open path at the moment, but a few moments before they show a tight circle surrounding Bran (consistency again).... Clearly we're not going to agree on this, but it made no sense for someone who was struggling as she was versus the brainless ones, to just skip and jump past the elite guards. We can just agree to disagree on this. I plan to watch the season through again once it concludes, maybe I'll see something else that changes my mind.

I rewatched the ep a few times and it makes 0 sense how she reach the nk. The producers said she was affected by the head injury she suffered when they said this it made even less sense that she could run in winterfell court where there is hundreds of wights all arround killing anything in sight and that there is a circle of wight/ww arround bran

At this point blah is just trolling

He's just going the opposite way of most the internet. As most people are just blindly trashing the show, he's blindly defending everything in it. I still think the season has been highly entertaining and enjoyable and I'll never understand the comparisons to the last season of Lost, or people saying the show is ruined, but I won't blindly defend every decision, especially if it's one that can't be justified within the context of the show.

I might be misremembering but didn't they clear a path for the NK and then just not close ranks behind him after?

I'm not blindly defending anything. I'm pointing out actual fucking foreshadowing and set-up/pay-off that the show actually has.

If you don't like that Arya killed the NK cool, I don't care you are allowed to dislike it. Saying it doesn't make any sense and came out of no where is just incorrect.

Perhaps the NK knew she was there and telepathically instructed the WWs to do nothing as he intended to catch her in midair. He thought he was luring her into a trap.

I'm so very willing to forgive the show on minor points, like the choreography of scene or the lazy filmmaking techniques of Dany standing too close to the scorpions when going to negotiate with Cersei.
