I had high hopes for it and it didn't let me down.

It is my favorite King film adaption for sure.

This scene where Pennywise just absolutely roasts Bill had my rolling too lol.

Sarsgaard nailed the role and I honestly like his version more than Curry's. Reminds me of Ledgers joker. Nobody thought anyone could outdo Jack's classic Joker until Heath came in with his crazy version.

I just hope the second one is as good.

Also I don't understand the people upset at the comedy in it... Richie is supposed to be the jokester of the group. They nailed his character imo and Finn is an excellent young actor. Comedic relief is a good thing to use in a movie about kids getting eaten by a monster. Otherwise it's just your typical dark and gloomy average horror flick.

I agree with everything here. Skarsgaard absolutely murdered this role and I think this guy has propelled himself into Hollywood’s elite

Yep agreed bud

Trouble is everyone here naturally wants to critique movies (whole point of sub) and it's just easier to find the negatives in things.. it's even easier to just repeat the sentiments of others who have criticised the movie.

Nothing wrong with hating mind just an observation.

The movie ruined every possibly creepy moment by adding jump scares. Imo that ruined the movie. Would have been pretty good if it wasn't a jump scare every other scene.

e: I use the term jump scare but when overused like in this movie it's just comical, and not good comical.

I personally didn't think the movie was scary at all. That being said I enjoyed it for other reasons. I did laugh quite a bit too, not sure if I was supposed too, but some of the clown scenes were quite funny. Probably would have enjoyed it a lot less without finn, although the other kid actors weren't terrible.

Did we watch the same movie? We are talking about the new one, not the old tv one right?
