Continuing the shit train that is Season 8. That episode wasn't half bad considering how the plot must go based on the last 4 shit episodes.
A few questions I had while watching this episode and observations:
-Why even introduce and hype up the Golden Company? They all died in 7.9 seconds. Why not just say she was reinforced by XXX Houses or something. We just got a big pile of nothing.
-Why have Euron/Jamie Fight? Why have Euron and only Euron wash up exactly when Jamie is cutting through the coast to the red keep? Waste of time, Euron was a 1 note character that provided nothing.
-Speaking of Euron..... He was able to 3 sniper shot Rhaegal out of the sky with ease. It was kind of silly how easy Dany/Drogon just destroyed every single scorpion like they were useless. Why have them be a god tier weapon one episode and utterly useless in the next? I get Dany ambushed the fleet, but for fucks sake she didn't even have to dodge.
-Clegane bowl was satisfying. I loved seeing my boy take out the Mountain finally. Could have done without the magical invincible properties they gave Gregor, but that's nit picky for a moment I was waiting for. I did laugh at the Qyburn death, instakill.
- They completely ruined Jaime's character arc for no reason. I'll just leave that there for the obvious implications.
-Cersei/Jamie death was pretty lame. Having one of the biggest Villains die off screen, to rocks/derbies, and not by the hand of one of our hero's was pretty anti climatic. Sadly - that's how D&D seem to dispatch our greatest villians (see NK death)
-The best part of the episode was Jon Snow trying to save innocent people while his forces butcher them. Very well done and shows a direct conflict coming our way for the end between him and Dany.
- Why does Dany not like bells?
- Not sure Arya was even in KL. She did nothing and we got 10-15 minutes of her just rambling through the city trying to survive. Had some cool scenes, but she just ate up time. She's been given a lot of scenes/air time that i don't understand. Her ending scene with the hound was good.
Predictions for EP 6
-Jon kills Dany because she's gone mad
-Tyrion dies by Dany for releasing Jaime or at least gets reprimanded or put on trial or whatever. Similar to the Scene with Tywin way back when were Dinklidge delivered that amazing speech saying Stannis should have killed the whole city.
-Jon goes into exile with his shame and probably starts up the Nights Watch again or a similar new group.
- Arya will "go on adventures" like her dire wolf and just disappear
think Bran or Sansa is going to sit on the throne at the end. Im guessing it'll be a stark.
Ive seen multiple people bring up the Nights Watch...... um guys you realize they dont need it anymore. Jon made peace with the wildlings and they united as free people, and they killed the White Walkers.
Bran on the throne? Guy is literally worthless character, he just sits and stares.
