why do you protect the writers so much? the writing has major flaws and at times they contradict their own stuff
since you mention the dothraki in the post before this one, that scene was literally the biggest loss of life in the entire show
a complete army of several ten thousand wiped out in a minute for no reason whatsoever
then the most retarded battle tactics of all time, not even the worst commanders could manage that
dont get me wrong, i still love the show, but from season 6 onward the plotholes have become bigger and bigger
They lost half their army and while clearly it wasn't a smart military tactic, it was again used to set a tone and it succeeded there. That was one of the better scenes of the entire episode lol. I'm mainly referring to all the idiots online just regurgitating the same idiotic sentiment that the Dothraki should have been used to flank the enemy.

Guess you heard this story from the winning side historian?
What's it like being the person who makes everyone around them seem better by contrast?

Let me spell it out for you. The dragon dying when it did helped to stoke Danny's rage against Cersei and help unhinge her, if it had died during the long night it would have just been a sad death that didn't serve any plot purpose.
Again, it's pointless trying to explain anything to either of these guys.
