The dragon death scene literally added nothing to the story. Why show the dragon alive after the NK battle just to kill it the next episode without any benefit to plot? It would have made much more sense to lose the dragon during the battle then have Euron's fleet flank the ships and destroy a few/capture Missandi (which is a whole other stupid plot line). I get the point - they want her to start to go "mad queen" mode, but they fucked it all up.
Missandi should have been killed during the navel engagement, the dragon should have died at winterfell or not at all, and Tyrion should have died to Cersei when he pleaded to her. That would have been enough to build the idea of Dany going "mad" and justify what she's going to do, which is burn down king's landing.
These are just my complaints. I didn't mind the episode, and the season thus far. It's not been perfect, and maybe even not average but it's still entertaining and i'm invested.
They wanted to show that the Dragons wouldn't give Danny an automatic win, that if used carelessly (as she always has used them), they'd be taken out of the fight immediately. Scouting could have been done, but what's better at scouting than a fucking dragon and if they've hardly been scratched by man, why would you be worried about it? It made sense, it shows how powerful the fleet actually is and it's a completely pointless complaint.
The only thing that made no sense in the last episode was not killing Tyrion. She clearly wants him dead, why wouldn't she just kill him right there? She could still kill him to start episode 5, but probably not.
Still not sure how/why people are dumb enough to think that Danny being within eyesight of Cersei means she's in danger.... That has got to be one of the dumbest complaints I've ever heard. The plan was to surround Kings Landing and stop supplies from coming in, that's what they're doing... What the fuck is the issue?
