Cercei did not kill Dany because the townsfolk of kingslanding would officially all turn against her, at least that's what I like to think

Lol what? You might want to re-think that.

Why would the townsfolk turn on Cersei if she killed the invader at their doorstep armed with a dragon who's intent is to overthrow the status quo?

That doesn't make much sense? Why didn't the townsfolk revolt BEFORE Dany showed up if the only thing you think holding them back is an enemy at their doorstep?

Confused.

because they almost starved to death while Cercei's son was sitting on the throne. Because they already hate her. Because some might want a Targaryen back on the throne (as mentionned many times in the show)

You're just digging yourself a deeper hole here. There's no way that it can be argued that Cersei ambushing and killing Dany+crew at the parlay would not be in her best interest.

The scene doesn't make sense. Continued debate on the nonsensical nature of the scene doesn't produce any meaningful discussion. It just devolves into flaming, trolling and more nonsensical arguments.

The only issue, albeit minor, that I had with this episode was them seemingly giving Cersei a legitimate opportunity to slaughter all her bitter & most powerful enemies, Dany & Tyrion, & her not taking advantage of it. The Cersei we know doesn’t play by the rules, & given the opportunity would have killed all the usurpers on the spot. I’ll chalk it up to bad execution in terms of setting up the scene. Dany & co should have probably been set way further back, with more troops, etc

Not exactly what I would call pivotal though.

That right there is the final answer on the scene. It was poorly filmed. It got he job done. Move on and talk about something that's actually important.

The whole point was : people keep claiming this show is turning into a joke but all they complain about is how jon Snow did not kiss his dog goodbye, or a starbuck coffee lefr on a table (great publicity stunt btw) or minor things we actually dont give a fuck about this cercei shit included.

Added "or at least thats what i like to think" meaning it gives me a reason to say "its fine just enjoy the show". Didn't mean it was logical in any mean, just find yourself a reason to say ''ah its fine'' and fking enjoy whats left of one of the best tv show of all time

I'm still wanting to talk about how the night king was dispatched in such a meaningless and easy fashion.

INB4 people rage about Arya being a trained assassin. I have no issue with her making the kill - just how she did it "Surprise!" spider Monkey style with no explanation.

The dragon death scene was stupid as shit, too. Do you not scout ahead? How did Dany not see a fleet of ships sitting their waiting for her/them? Silly writing.

Did ya mean Tyrion, or are you just dense? If given the chance, she'd kill that bitch in a heartbeat. Wouldn't even matter if she had to murder half her citizens to do it lol, hence why she's using them as a human shield.

I still don't understand this complaint... Danny never came into harms way and her dragon was on standby without a doubt. If anyone was in danger during this encounter, it was Cersei, not Danny. Tyrion should have died here and that was poor writing, but we don't know if next episode will start with him dying immediately. The second he walked up there it should have been game over for him.

Does Bran even still care that he got pushed out a window?

nope he is not
because thats why he ended beign the three eyed crown
generally speaking imho bran character has more to gives in the books.
the show lost its way after catching up with the book material.
And you can clearly see it on the depth of the character and actions.
In seasons 5-8 every season has a dramatical drop on depth while in first seasons everything was there for a reason. They may have changed crucial things from the books tho but those were mainly for screen/budget reasons imho plus back then martim assured them that he will finish those books before show end.
I believe that if Martin ever finishes his books we will see things happening a lot different than that standard tv ending.

Legit complains.

Dragons might have scouted ahead but if i remember well the fleet was hidden in between 2 mountains.. just trying to give the writters an excuse here tbh

I was also disapointed about the NK and I got no excuse for that. 8 seasons of build up hype to end up like this was kinda shitty... We didnt want to wait for GRRM to finish the books so thats what we got i guess
