why so many people have been obsessed with that dog through entire show....i dont get it

i personally never cared about any of them and never paid much attention to them, i always though all of them died then they just kept appearing then disappearing...meh

If you had paid attention to the earlier seasons you would have noticed that they serve a narrative purpose. The entire series (and the books!) came to be because GRRM imagined the Stark family finding the wolf pups.

Remember that scene. "There are five pups. One for each of the Stark children." Said by Jon Snow. Who then finds the runt of the litter, affirming his identity as a bastard. From then on the direwolves act as a foil to the children's personalities, with Nymeria becoming wild and free, Grey Wind being a war hero, Shaggydog being raw and untamed, etc. Lady dying so early on shows that Sansa's connection to the Stark identity is severed.

The entire reason that the Night's Watch even knows that the dead are coming is due to Ghost. Ghost finds the bodies of the rangers who then try to kill Jeor Mormont in his chambers. Jon has lived with Ghost for years and years, one of the few who kept by his side when he was dead. Surely Jon would show the same kindness in a farewell to Ghost as he does when he hugs Sansa or Arya?

Him not saying bye to ghost symbolizes him not being ready to accept the fact that he's a Targaryan and not a Stark.

My understanding is that Ghost is basically a GoT version of Harambe. The meme became bigger than the real animal.

The meme of Ghost disappearing for weeks and reappearing in random meaningless moments have been picking up steam for years now.

The only issue, albeit minor, that I had with this episode was them seemingly giving Cersei a legitimate opportunity to slaughter all her bitter & most powerful enemies, Dany & Tyrion, & her not taking advantage of it. The Cersei we know doesn’t play by the rules, & given the opportunity would have killed all the usurpers on the spot. I’ll chalk it up to bad execution in terms of setting up the scene. Dany & co should have probably been set way further back, with more troops, etc

Not exactly what I would call pivotal though.

perhaps Cersei wants to make a point, she wants to show her people how evil Danny is after she attacks kings landing and kills bunch of civilians but still loses in the end, which will make Cersei look good

idk just my theory, but yeah that just made no sense what so ever lol, she could have smashed them all with a blink of an eye

Idk in the books but in the show the dogs are barely used so stfu about it. Its too hard to tell him goodbye so hed rather just go.

Yes the serie has been illuminati hollywood shit since they got ahead of the books.

Still you guys waste way too much time talking about how bad it is.

If youd actually do something else than crying the show doesnt go as your feelings would want to, you would end up enjoying the show anyway

Cercei did not kill Dany because the townsfolk of kingslanding would officially all turn against her, at least that's what I like to think

Why would the townsfolk turn on Cersei if she killed the invader at their doorstep armed with a dragon who's intent is to overthrow the status quo?

That doesn't make much sense? Why didn't the townsfolk revolt BEFORE Dany showed up if the only thing you think holding them back is an enemy at their doorstep?

Confused.
