Has been a while since covid started, haven't seen a blockbuster that caught my eye during the period.
Ip Man 4 was released in 2019 but it is relatively new considering the covid impact!

i didnt say it was a bad movie, but as i was expecting a lot from this, i was disapointed ...

Better than an Oscar for best actor?

oscar for best movie and oscar for best actor is two different thing.

imo joachim phenix's performance was great and could deserve this oscar, but the movie was not great.

as i would give a 6/10 to the movie, im pretty sure with an other actor then joachim phenix, i would have give a 4 or 5/10.

and tbh, i dont think we all have to agree on a performance (acting or movie) because of Oscars. Cinema is an art, not a science.

that movie was pretty good, giving a 6? what were you expecting a superhero movie? Its original, has nothing to do with hero movies, its a psychological thriller/suspense

tbh for one of the most emblematic badass character i was expecting for a darker past, much more psychological than this.

but as i said earlier, mb i give it only a 6/10 since i was expecting too much of it

Havent seen a lot lately, but love & monsters is probably one of them.
