right. plus the NK’s biggest rival is jon snow obv. and they never faced off. i bet the book will be different.

There has never been the typical big face off between the hero and villian in GoT. No reason for it to start now.

Ahem, Ramsey vs Jon?

Yeah a 15 second scene where Jon jumps on Ramsey and beats the shit out of him before locking him up sure sounds like an epic face off between good and evil.

Also let's ignore that Sansa is the one who killed him, not Jon.

Why would you want a cookie cutter story line? It's not Jon vs the NK... Jon has been preaching for 2 seasons that mankind needs to come together. Therefore it's Dany, Jon, Sam's pussy ass, Arya, etc vs the NK. Anyone could have finished the deed. That fact that it wasn't Jon was better. Why give all that power to Jon, the most boring character left in the show.



I read/glossed over an article yesterday( idk if it's true because internet) that his next book, Winds of Winter, ia completed. He is bound contractually to wait until the television series airs (or sold in stores i forget) before it can be released.

On how she did what? Use her years of assassin training to assassinate someone? Yeah I wonder how that happened...

There were undeniable positives to the episode. Sapochnik is a god. But we should be able to have conversations about both the strengths and weaknesses without getting those 2 things mixed up.

Trying to give the episode a rating boiled down to a single number forces us to either be a "hater" or a "supporter". It's like telling people that they either have to love Hilary or they have to love Trump. The correct answer, of course, is neither.

I feel like D&D said to each other:

"oh man, fans are going to be pissed when we reveal that NK has no backstory and doesn't tie in with any of the main characters"
"ok well, let's reveal that fact inside of a long episode where tons of other things happen. let's wash it out so much cgi action that people will be too busy talking about other stuff to focus on the fact that the 7 seasons of build up, cliffhangers and mystery around NK was never explored"

Up until the very final moment when NK shattered, I was still holding out hope that something meaningful would be revealed when NK got to Bran. I didn't really care who lived, who died, or who killed them. The only bad thing that could happen is that NK's story ends without any explanation of his character.

The great scene in Ep2 of people talking around the fire becomes less impactful in retrospect because none of those characters died. It's the same 'fake drama' crap of acting like a main char is in trouble and then saving him.
