Honestly this part baffles me. It's like they think the show is lesser because it is animated instead of live action.

Seems to be a fairly common opinion. I suppose it's WAY different for me because certain animes have undergone far more scrutiny from me than any other shows have. To each their own I suppose. I still don't know why people can't just ignore comments that bother them. If a comment bothers you because it's flat-out wrong, or in your opinion it's wrong, refute the comment and enter into a friendly debate, Blah and myself have done it often with one another. If you don't like a comment simply because you don't like people discussing shows, you're just in the wrong place... The purpose of this forum is to discuss shows and movies, I don't understand why you'd stick around if you get offended by people discussing things.

everyones talking about whether its ok or not to criticize rnm lol. how about this if you want to get indepth with it just go for it and if you dont then don't. if someone cant wrap their head around it then just ignore them. if you meet a 90 year old racist lady do you really think youre going to be able to change them?
i personally dont care whether or not something is live action or animated but its not something that should baffle you if you find someone that does. simpsons came out in '89 and iirc watching some documentary or just something on tv talking about how the show almost failed because a lot of people had the mindset
that cartoons were just for kids. that was only 28 years ago im sure a shitton of ppl still exist that see it that way.

only thing that bothers me is when people get too into it. like how is morty going to make the morph machine work once the 3 guys trick beth into letting them out? clearly the 3 are needed for it to work. but whocares the whole bit with them escaping was comedy gold.

this cartoon is seriously a bullshit. could anyone enlighten me and give me some reasons why do people consider this as good tv series?

1. Genuine taste (for a multitude of reasons - because taste)
2. Social inclusion/trendy meta

maybe I just can't get that genuine taste by myself.
nonetheless, as an adult cartoon category, South Park beats this show dramatically. what's the reason of such a popularity of this cartoon then?
